One of the rewarding aspects of their work includes providing opportunities for university students and researchers to engage in space-related projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NextGen 2023<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2023, Space Iceland&#8217;s <strong>NextGen<\/strong> initiative continued its mission to engage university students and researchers in space-related projects. One highlight from the year was <strong>Michael<\/strong>, a NextGen Copernicus researcher, who had the honor of cutting the Copernicus cake during an event in June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This event exemplifies Space Iceland&#8217;s commitment to providing hands-on experiences and fostering a community of emerging space professionals.
