Would you like to improve how your organisation prepares for and manages disasters using EU Space data and services? The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/civil-protection-knowledge-network.europa.eu\/projects\/sunshine\"><strong>SUNSHINE project<\/strong><\/a>, which is developed under the guidance of the European Commission\u2019s <strong>DG DEFIS<\/strong> and in partnership with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/civil-protection-humanitarian-aid.ec.europa.eu\/index_en\"><strong>DG ECHO<\/strong><\/a>, is launching a series of training seminars designed to help professionals in this field <strong>use EU Space data and services to strengthen disaster resilience across Europe.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Four multi-day in-person seminars will be held in 2025 and 2026, and the <strong>first one will take place in Tallinn, Estonia, from 24 to 28 November 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Who is the training course aimed at?<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Preference will be given to professionals from EU Member States, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Primary audience:<\/strong><br \/>Civil protection authorities and emergency response coordinators at national, regional, or local level; Technical emergency teams and first responders (e.g. USAR, firefighting, CBRNe units); UCPM National Training Coordinators<\/li>\n<li><strong>Secondary audience:<\/strong><br \/>Policymakers, trainers, and scientific\/technical advisers with expertise in disaster preparedness, early warning, and civil protection strategy<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tertiary audience (if space allows):<\/strong><br \/>Representatives from academic institutions with relevant interest in the subject matter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>What will participants learn?<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>The benefits of EU Space tools for disaster management and risk reduction, and how these support the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/civil-protection-knowledge-network.europa.eu\/disaster-resilience-goals\">EU Disaster Resilience Goals<\/a><\/li>\n<li>How to register for, request, use and benefit from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/emergency.copernicus.eu\/\"><u>Copernicus Emergency Management Service<\/u><\/a> \u00a0products<\/li>\n<li>How to use new\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/defence-industry-space.ec.europa.eu\/eu-space\/galileo-satellite-navigation_en\">Galileo<\/a>-based services to deliver targeted emergency warnings<\/li>\n<li>Best practices for using EU Space data and services, illustrated through real-world use cases based on past disaster events<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>Why fill in the survey?<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>If you work in civil protection, emergency management, or disaster risk reduction, this is your opportunity to express interest in joining the SUNSHINE training series.
