The event will bring together experts and decision-makers from European institutions, implementing agencies, research organisations, and industry to assess CENTAUR\u2019s results and their significance for the future evolution of\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/emergency.copernicus.eu\/\">Copernicus Emergency Management Service (CEMS)<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sesa.security.copernicus.eu\/\">Copernicus Security Service in Support of EU External and Security Actions (SESA)<\/a>.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>CENTAUR\u00a0innovation lies in transforming vast streams of EO data into actionable early-warning\u00a0indicators\u00a0addressing two of today\u2019s most pressing and\u00a0worldwide\u00a0challenges: urban flood risk and food and water insecurity. Through monitoring of densely populated areas and predictive indicators of resource scarcity, CENTAUR enables earlier intervention,\u00a0before hazards escalate into full-scale crises.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Participants will gain first-hand insight into how CENTAUR\u2019s outputs integrate within the wider Copernicus ecosystem and contribute to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/publications.jrc.ec.europa.eu\/repository\/handle\/JRC136730\">Earth Observation Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA)<\/a>.\u00a0Crucially, the workshop marks the point at which CENTAUR\u2019s validated concepts are placed in the hands of those who need them most: civil protection authorities, emergency managers, and humanitarian actors working in increasingly complex risk environments.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As the project approaches the end of its current lifecycle, the Brussels workshop also looks ahead. By\u00a0convening\u00a0scientific experts, industry leaders, and policymakers, CENTAUR\u00a0wants\u00a0to catalyse discussion on the long-term uptake and scaling of its innovations,\u00a0ensuring that the progress achieved over the past three years becomes a lasting\u00a0component\u00a0of Europe\u2019s crisis management and early-warning capabilities.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Registration\u00a0<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>The workshop will take place in person on <strong>25 February, from 09:00 to 17:00 CET, at the Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA), Place Charles Rogier 16, 1210 Saint-Josse-ten-Noode, Brussels.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Participation is aimed at professionals working in EO, AI, climate security, civil protection, and emergency and humanitarian response.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Registration is mandatory to ensure access to the building and to accommodate any specific requirements.
