The project focuses on developing a new way to capture and remove space debris, one of the major challenges facing modern space missions. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esa.int\/Education\/ESA_Academy_Experiments_programme\/New_student_teams_for_ESA_Academy_Experiments_Programme\" target=\"_blank\">team has been selected in February 2026<\/a> for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esa.int\/Education\/ESA_Academy_Experiments_programme\/About_the_ESA_Academy_Experiments_programme\" target=\"_blank\">the ESA Academy Experiments Programme<\/a>, and they will test their system in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esa.int\/Education\/ESA_Academy_Experiments_programme\/Orbital_Robotics_Laboratory\" target=\"_blank\">Orbital Robotics Lab<\/a>, which reproduces space-like motion in a controlled 2D environment.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Team RobOcto consists of 10 Bachelor students from the University of Twente who share a strong interest in space exploration and technology.
